Inspiration

It’s 12am in London, and my mind slowly blanks as I try to write a summary to ‘promote myself’ for the guardian.co.uk jobsearch site.
I am looking for a word that describes someone to be responsive, it starts with P, and it’s one of those words that I like but always forget.

Instead I came across this little gem, which I wanted to share with everyone

Nine Things Worthy of Pursuit – Rod Smith

It made me think of my favorite poem by Rudyard Kipling, also what I strive to live my life by.

How about that for going off on a tangent. Back to self promotion then…

  1. Ban says:

    Perceptive?

  2. Kaz says:

    #5 ftw.

I dunno, it’s probably not effective, but I find that I’m attracted to advertisements with a bit of humour… ones that emphasize a fun team and stuff. Lively stuff. A bit of perk. Excitement. Zest.

I bet jason can land a job with just the letter P written on a cover letter. I want to hire him already!

Otherwise, I bet Alex could think of a word that starts with P… ;)

  3. Pickleses says:

penis perhaps? they can be pretty responsive when you want them to be…? LOL

perceptive. pig. pickle. im just throwing out p words now. haha

  4. raiichu says:

Genius Jan. That’s the word I was liking for!!!!

  5. raiichu says:

Yeah #5 made me think of yes man. Love that movie.

I haven’t really come across any humerous ads. Maybe Brits are too uptight for that lol. I’ll keep an eye out!

  6. Mitch says:

Perfection Rai… that is it… as for Jan.. what a surprise for your first p word of thought! lol
Had my body wrap massage, hair treatment and feet done from my birthday voucher last night, feeling very relaxed and glamour now! Thanks! xx

  7. Lizzie says:

penal colony… aka you’re from Australia AH ha ha ha ha

precocious… little brat that is (I JOKE!!)

pomegranate… delicious, pretty and good for you!

princess… an unhealthy obsession with Disney

    XOXO

  8. Sigrid says:

    Proactive?

    Also, I LOVE that poem!
I got it framed for Shaun’s 21st, shame it didn’t get through to him ;)
