Have spent the last 3 days trolling for a good theme for my blog – getting ready to blog the shit out of my adventures.

49 days left as of today.

I quit my job.

Technically I’m still here, but yesterday, I tendered my resignation and gave my 5 weeks notice.
I know, 5 weeks sounds like heaps, but it’ll give me ample time to find something to tie me over until I go off to Europe – which I really need to start organising soon!

I had a rough time trying to pucker up the courage to have ‘that chat’ with my boss, but I fluffed up my feathers and did it. Didn’t go too badly, although he ranted off on a tangent about ‘your generation’ and I forgot some key points that needed to be mentioned um… like WHEN MY LAST DAY is?!

It’s ok, I got it covered, a “formality” which I am forever grateful to – the “resignation letter”

Outlined my ‘lovely time’ at the ‘organisation’ (which consists of 1 employee – me) and noted my last day – March 5th. I’m jumping for joy on the inside. Scared and excited all at the same time.

I think I know why daredevils do what they do, can you imagine the constant exhilaration?!

WOAH!!!!

Back to work for now!

I think now would be a good a time as any to start the blog I’ve been meaning to for months, the world keeps spinning as I keep waiting for the perfect time and the perfect post to be the first, so why not now?

Next Saturday – March 28th 2009 @ 8:30pm is Earth Hour, where everyone is encouraged to switch off their lights for 1 Hour and be part of making a difference. I love this campaigne. It says change is simple and the difference one person makes is vast.

So lets vote for the earth on March 28th and be part of the change you want to see!
